A total of 12302.5 items were collected from ten sites on the east and south west coasts of the North Island New Zealand between March 2008 and November 2009. Eight cleanups to the end of August 2008 constituted a Tangaroa Blue Ocean Care Society pilot cleanup project with the remaining seventeen cleanups being carried out under the Tangaroa Blue Ocean Care Society New Zealand Marine Debris Project between October 2008 and November 2009. This technical report uses both sets of data.
