Title: Project Officer – Communications
Location: Work from home, Australia based
Employment status: Full time

Purpose of Role:

To support the CEO in promotion, marketing and media functions for the organisation as well as related administrative and logistical matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support TBF staff in the promotion of TBF and AMDI events, activities and updates through the organisation’s website, social media and other media platforms.
  • Social media management for two organisational profiles, including content creation, scheduling of content, caption writing, community management and reporting.
  • Provide education and briefs to other staff on content creation.
  • Draft content for website articles and manage/maintain/improve website functionality and copy.
  • Keep website calendar and Facebook calendar up to date with latest events.
  • Design artwork for reports, fact sheets, flyers and other graphics using design software including Canva.
  • Prepare the quarterly TBF Newsletter and maintain the recipient list.
  • The collection of media coverage and reports mentioning TBF and TBF projects through media platforms including Meltwater.
  • Actively contribute to generating revenue for the organisation by achieving income targets associated with communication-related objectives.
  • Assist the CEO to develop communication plans for specific projects and campaigns.
  • Assist the CEO to develop and distribute Media Releases.
  • Assist the CEO with related communications administrative tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in social media, communications and media.
  • Knowledge in the creation of image media, communications plans, media releases and articles.
  • Computer literacy in Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), Meltwater and Mailchimp.
  • High proficiency in written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience.
