Students from Warraber Island State School, Sea & Land Rangers and community members on Warraber Island in the Torres Strait have launched the Australian Marine Debris Initiative in the Torres Strait Islands by running recent beach clean ups on their island.
These are the first photos we’ve had from the region and we congratulate the students on their hard work and look forward to receiving ongoing data on their findings.
