River Foreshore Clean-Up

Last Friday, the 2nd of November 2012, students from Kalbarri District High School took part in cleaning the foreshore of litter. Years 3, 8, 9 & 10 met at Sally’s Tree before proceeding to spread out towards Chinamens’ beach and past the boat hire in their efforts to keep our environment clean and tidy. Crew from the boating elective also ferried students across the other side to check for rubbish over there and bring back what they found.

Overall the students did a great job with a special mention to the year 3 students who seemed determined to ensure not one piece of rubbish was to be left behind.

Special mention to Aidan Caruth who won the battle against Fletch to see who could collect the most. Well done Aidan!!!

Also a special thankyou to our volunteers Joy, Shane and Fletch plus the teachers that gave up their time to make sure that our river environment is kept clean and tidy.
