Dunsborough Primary School Beach Clean Up

Students from Dunsborough Primary School participated in Marine Debris Presentations as part of the 2008 Cape to Cape Beach Clean Up activities in October. Students then visited local Old Dunsborough Beach collecting debris and compiling data on what they found submitting it for use in the South West Marine Debris Project database.

47 students collected 599 pieces of debris from 500m of the Dunsborough foreshore in just one hour. Most common items found were 108 pieces of broken glass, 97 bits of broken plastic and 86 cigarette butts.
