WA Project Coordinator Casey, will be presenting to the Cocos Community on Tangaroa Blue’s exciting new international initiative – #ProjectReCon.

This initiative is in partnership with Satlink and is repurposing lost and abandoned GPS echosounder buoys to be able to swiftly track, trace and remove ghost fishing gear- one of the biggest threats to marine life.

Come along and hear more about how you can get involved by adopting a buoy and hosting it on your vessel.

Also, if you have one of these buoys sitting in your shed or under the veranda, why don’t you bring it along and we can see if it’s operational and able to be repurposed!
