Captain Billy Landing Clean-up, Cape York
May 30 - June 7
Add to Calendar
Captain Billy Landing is a very remote place far north on the eastern side of the Cape York Peninsula. For five days we will be collecting and sorting the rubbish from this exposed coastline, with a rewarded side trip to the amazing Fruit Bat Falls for what we achieved as a group out on the sands.
This is an event for the truly adventurous due to the remoteness of the area and the very basic facilities provided on site! A campsite area will be booked out for the event allowing us to spread out and set up a camp kitchen to prepare meals together, which will be provided by Tangaroa Blue. All you need to bring is your personals and own sleeping gear (tents, blankets, pillows, mattress, etc).
We will depart from Cairns around 8am. Seats are limited so register early to secure your spot!
Volunteers with their own 4WD vehicles are welcome to join our convoy to drive up to this event, or can meet us on site, just let us know!
