ReefClean Comes to Life

Last year Tangaroa Blue Foundation joined forces with several of our AMDI partners to successfully apply for an Australian Government tender to remove and prevent marine debris along the Great Barrier Reef over the next five years.

We've been working with our partners to organise all the different components of this project, which has now been nameed 'ReefClean'.

ReefClean events have kicked off from Cape York to Bundaberg, and include clean-up activities, data collection, education and awareness presentations and displays, school activities, source reduction workshops and projects all focused on reducing the impact of marine debris on the Great Barrier Reef.

To view our upcoming events visit the ReefClean Facebook page.

ReefClean is funded by the Australian Government's Reef Trust with support from Tangaroa Blue Foundation, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Reef Check Australia, OceanWatch Australia, Ocean Crusaders, Eco Barge Clean Seas, AUSMAP, South Cape York Catchments, Capricornia Catchments and Think Spatial.
