Rivers all lead to the sea, which means marine debris can come from sources far upstream from where the litter was originally left.
On Thursday 13th August, volunteers spent an hour cleaning up around a Mowbray River boat ramp which has been used as a dumping ground as well as being impacted by visitors leaving their rubbish in the surrounding area.
Thanks to the guys on holidays from Victoria for helping with the clean up!
Where rubbish bins aren’t provided, please take your rubbish home with you!!!!
