On Sunday 30th of August 2020, 2-4pm, Dreambox Collective will be hosting a Zoom concert, “Big Blue,” with 25% of the proceeds going towards supporting the Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
Big Blue is a creative exploration of water and the current state of our waterways, and will explore the artists’ personal and creative responses to this theme.
In June this year, an enthusiastic group of Dreambox Collective artists joined Tangaroa Blue Foundation for a clean-up of the Cooks River in Sydney. They pulled out 65kg of debris from only a small portion of the banks of this heavily polluted river, and had the experience of sorting and entering the data into the Australian Marine Debris database.

The concert Big Blue will feature colourful new works by Jolin Jiang, Ivan Zavada, Chloe Chung, Brad Gill, Pavle Cajic and Edward Essing. Tangaroa Blue Foundation guest speaker, Mathilde Gordon (AMDI project officer) will also lead a discussion on the issue of marine debris and what’s being done in Australia to prevent this major form of pollution from entering waterways in the first place.
The cost of your ticket ($25/$15) will go towards supporting the Tangaroa Blue Foundation and ensuring Dreambox Collective can continue presenting concerts into the future.
Dreambox Collective is a young Sydney-based musician and artist collective. We are passionate about understanding how we can live on this changing planet together, and transforming our creative goals into reality – hence the name, Dreambox Collective. We produce works and facilitate performances that respond and raise awareness of the climate emergency and social justice issues.
