2016 WA Beach Clean-up Oct 15 & 16

The 2016 West Australian Beach Clean-Up is rapidly approaching. Held on the 15th &16th October, this event will see volunteers right across this beautiful state of ours work together to clean up our coastline. Last year’s event saw over 1,200 people involved, with 5,528kg of rubbish removed from 268km of WA’s coastline. We would love to see an even bigger effort this year – so we need your help!

All clean-up materials are provided, all you need to do is bring along some friends and make a day of it. You can register your favourite piece of coastline or riverside by emailing Renee. Volunteers can also join existing groups, to find an event near you, please email Alison with your location, and she can put you in touch with a local coordinator.

The WA Beach Clean-up is made possible by the State Government’s Natural Resource Management Program and Royalties for Regions program. Tangaroa Blue Foundation would like to to thank Keep Australia Beautiful WA, South West Catchments Council, WA Department of Fisheries, Department of Parks and Wildlife and local government authorities around the state, as well as all the amazing volunteers for their ongoing support on this annual event.
