Tangaroa Blue volunteers are pulling out all their camping gear and preparing for this year’s Cape York week-long adventure beach clean-ups and you’re invited!
Starting in June at Captain Billy’s Landing, we’ll then head down to Lockhart River in July for the Chilli Beach Clean Up and then over to Mapoon in the Gulf of Carpentaria in September.
Also on the schedule with dates to be confirmed are clean-ups in Cooktown, Cape Bedford and Cedar Bay with more events to be added as we get closer.
All events require volunteers to have a medium level of fitness and some of the more remote clean-ups are true wilderness areas with very little infrastructure – so these events are for the true adventurer!
If you are keen to get involved send us an email or call us on 0410166684, but remember seats are limited so get in quick!
With thanks to our sponsors QLD Government’s Everyone’s Environment Grant, and all our partners including Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Mapoon Land & Sea Rangers, Lockhart River State School and all the volunteers that pitch in! We look forward to seeing you up the Cape when the rains clear!
