St Bernard’s boys have been hard at it again, doing their bit for the beaches and rivermouths around the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria.
So much rubbish out there,choking up our water ways and beaches, so we all have to keep doing our bit, get on board and help the boys out.
Like many months in the past – the boys collected over 2,500 plastic remnant pieces along with the rest of their haul!
Students from the Rockhampton Grammar School did a clean up recently along the Fitzroy River in the middle of town (Rockhampton/QLD). The students removed approximately 150kg of rubbish in an hour covering a distance of about 500m. We uploaded our data into the AMDI Database. The study of the marine environment is extremely important at Camden Haven High School and students have been involved in collecting marine debris data for Tangaroa Blue Foundation for several years now. Students regularly clean up the local beaches with their teacher Dr. Deb Geronimi. Our recent clean-ups were at WashHouse Beach and Pilot Beach Dunbogan on July 19th, 2017.

The Year 9 and 10 students at CIDHS collected and audited the following marine debris on Greta Beach 19th of May 2017. They were amazing! Thanks to Fisheries WA and Keep Australia Beautiful WA for helping us with this challenge.
